Calories Matter – If You Want To Avoid Obesity | Deflame Enterprise

In recent years, many people have been convinced that counting calories is not necessary if you want to lose weight and then manage your weight properly. I do not understand this view; it is, in fact, quite foolish.
Calories in food come from three macro-nutrients, which include carbohydrate, protein, and fat. We get about 4 calories for every gram of carbohydrate and protein we consume. In contrast, we get about 9 calories for every gram of fat consumed. You can witness this math in action on the label of any packaged food. The total calories are provided based on grams of carbohydrate, protein, and fat contained in a serving size.
Whenever we exceed our caloric needs, the body stores the excess calories as fat in specialized cells called adipocytes, which are more commonly known as fat cells. There is an odd misconception that it is primarily dietary fat that stored in fat cells; which is COMPLETELY incorrect. If you were to eat a low carbohydrate and low protein diet, the primary calorie source would be fat.

Salizain | Nutritional Supplements

Salizain contains a 979.2 mg extract of white willow bark extract that has been concentrated to contain 240 mg of salicin. The remaining 740 mg are unique white willow bioflavonoids. White willow has been used for centuries to treat pain and inflammation. Salizain was one of Hippocrates' favorite botanicals for pain relief.

RESEARCH (White Willow)

Long before there was aspirin, there was white willow bark. Records suggest that as far back as 6000 years ago, white willow was used in Mesopotamia. Subsequently, multiple ancient peoples recorded the use of white willow to cure pain and inflammation, including the Assyrian, Babylonian, Sumerian, Egyptian, Chinese, Greek and Roman civilizations (1).

Hippocrates (460–370 BC) recommended chewing willow bark to patients suffering from fever, inflammation, and pain. He also prescribed a brew of willow leaves to ease the excruciating pains of childbirth (1). Since that time, white willow has continued to be used to ease pain and inflammation.

Blood Sugar Health Promotion | DeFlame Programs

2. Supplement options

a. Basic Health Program

b. Advanced Health Program

Approximately 45% of adults aged 50 and older have the metabolic syndrome X, a blood sugar handling disorder. So, it is not surprising that a wide variety of supplements are promoted as beneficial for blood sugar regulation; primarily for the metabolic syndrome X and type 2 diabetes.

The mistake that is commonly made is thinking that supplements will correct the blood sugar problem. It is also a mistake to think that medications will correct blood sugar problems and cure metabolic syndrome X and diabetes.

Pro Enz | Nutritional Supplements

Pro Enz is an anti-inflammatory botanical supplements. It contains ginger, turmeric, boswellia, rosemary, lemon bioflavonoids, and bromelain.

Anti-Inflammatory Botanical Research

If you were to close your eyes and be served an Italian, Greek, Indian, Hispanic, or Asian meal, you would likely know immediately that it was not an American dish. You would probably come close to guessing the appropriate ethnicity of the meal because each food has a unique flavor. The use of different spices give ethnic foods their unique flavor, and it turns out that scientists have discovered that most of the spices offer significant anti-inflammatory benefits.

For example, ginger, which is used in many cultures, offers profound anti-inflammatory activity. Some individuals taking supplemental ginger have been able to stop taking anti-inflammatory drugs, as their muscular pain and osteoarthritis were significantly relieved

(1).In one study, patients with brain cancer were given boswellia, and while the cancer remained, the swelling around the tumor was significantly reduced. As a consequence, the patients were provided with noticeable symptomatic relief

(2).In another study, researchers from UCLA examined curcumin (from turmeric, the main herb in curry) in experimental models of Alzheimer’s disease. Curcumin was found to prevent the inflammatory drive to Alzheimer’s expression

Clinical Magnesium | Nutritional Supplements

Clinical Magnesium has three capsule which provide 400 mg of highly absorbable forms of magnesium.

Magnesium Research

Magnesium has been described as the “5th and forgotten mineral.” Many people readily supplement with calcium, and have no notion that magnesium is an extremely important nutrient.

Magnesium intake is low among many people in the United States and inadequate magnesium status is associated with increased risk of acute and chronic conditions, an urgent need exists to perform a current survey to assess the physiologic status of magnesium in the U.S. population.

The current RDA for magnesium is 420 mg per day (mg/d) for males; and the CDC researchers estimated the following average intakes (1):
Caucasian males: 352 mg/d
Hispanic males: 330 mg/d
African American males: 278 mg/d
The current RDA for magnesium is 320 mg per day (mg/d) for females; and the CDC researchers estimated the following average intakes (1):

Caucasian females: 256 mg/d
Hispanic females: 242 mg/d
African American females: 202 mg/d

Basic Health Program | Deflame Enterprise

The Basic Health Promotion program is designed to support a DeFlaming diet (Deflaming Guidelines). It is very difficult to consume adequate nutrients unless one has a near perfect diet, which very few people are able to do on a regular basis. The Basic program contains the nutrients that seem to be the most lacking in the average American’s diet:

1. Vitamin D (Ultra K2/D3 [$24.00])

2. Omega-3 fatty acids (Clinical Omega-3 [$23.00 - for 60 ct])

3. Magnesium (Clinical Magnesium [$26.00])

4. Micronutrients (AVED-Multi Iron Free [$30.00 for 60 ct])

1. The anti-inflammatory diet (see The DeFlame Diet book)
2. Supplements
a. Osatate-Calcium Complex
b. Osatate-Calcium Complex and Basic Health Program
c. Osatate-Calcium Complex and Advanced Health Program
Bone health is a misunderstood topic. When people think about bone health, they focus extensively on calcium and little on anything else. This is a mistake. Bone should be viewed as a multifunctional organ, and like other organs and systems, bone health is substantially impacted by chronic inflammation.
The best way to promote bone health from a nutritional perspective is to eat anti-inflammatory as described in The DeFlame Diet book and to take either the Basic or Advanced Health Program supplements.

c. Salizain and Advanced Health Program

Far too many people suffer with chronic pain. Multiple factors participate in pain expression, so if one is looking for a magic bullet (drug or supplement), in most cases, he/she will be out of luck. Pain is complex and must be attacked on multiple fronts. Primarily a DeFlaming diet is very important to avoid "feeding" the pain. The pro-inflammatory foods listed in The DeFlame Diet book function to "feed the pain.

From a supplementation perspective, the Basic Health Program of supplements is typically adequate for supporting the DeFlaming dietary recommendations to achieve a "deflamed" state that often renders people free of pain or less compromised by pain.

Digestive symptoms are extremely common in women and men. Women tend to suffer with irritable bowel symptoms, such as constipation and diarrhea, while men tend to suffer with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).

Fill up the gut with pro-inflammatory foods is not a wise daily choice for people with gastrointestinal symptoms. Accordingly, an anti-inflammatory diet is a positive choice.

Researchers have coined the term “inflammaging” to describe the biochemical/metabolic processes we all go through as we age. If we do NOT “inflammage” properly we develop chronic inflammatory diseases such as Alzheimer’s, cancer and heart disease, and suffer with pain. Unhealthy “inflammaging” is promoted by eating inflammatory foods and sedentary living.

Breast health can be an emotional topic because of the devastating nature of breast cancer.

And these apply to all cancers. A review article published in a journal entitled The Breast listed the following risk factors for cancer expression.
